Thank you Wayne & Carmen - we'll be back!

one last boat ride

We decided to spend the last 2 hours of daylight on the lake
Uncertain Texas is on the shores of Caddo Lake
The lake shore and with in the lake are zillions of Cyprus trees - SO beautiful!

Spanish Moss drapes this Cyprus Tree

these guys are awesome!

Casey found a nest of eggs (all open)
At first we thought maybe turtle eggs...
but then decided they were more likely snake eggs.
There were about 8-9 eggs in the nest area.

lots of critters crossed our paths
Wayne told us stories of turtle migration across 6 mile bridge
Lots of road kill on those days...
These turtles were cool & very quick (contrary to the turtle & the hare story!)
Carmen and I tried to catch this guy and give to Casey for a gift - HA
little buggar was so quick - sprinted for cover under the car.

Casey and I were out for a walk and he said - Look at that snake...
Not 20 feet from us was this snake just a' slithering along - ew!

Bubba - aka snake wrangler... decided to pick it up

another great meal - prepared by Wayne & Casey

two of the seven dogs - Ghost & Molly
not shown - Lucy, Poopy, Jake, Butters & Smiley

Oh yeah!
Craw-fish
